If it's anything like the typical applications of that chassis style, a direct connection from the crankshaft to the driveshaft, no clutch or transmission.
Transmissions and starters and stuff add weight, and flywheels are just excess rotational mass. You get your pit crew to push you around until you're going fast enough and then you engage the magneto and you're ready to go.
