I had to look up the image to see what that was. Makes sense, Maybe there was something wrong with it, but I could hardly work the slide on the one we had, and I was in my 20's with no shortage of hand strength (take a look at my avatar to see where the hand strength came from).

Was your's a Mark IV? I've wanted one for a long time, but when the Mark IV came out I decided it was the model to get, a lot of improvements over previous generations. Most importantly is the single button take down.
I've yet to fire it, but the slide/bolt is really easy to work. The only complaint I have so far, is the thumb bolt release is impossible to use one handed. I have to use both thumbs to release the slide catch. May just need a few hundred rounds through it to loosen things up. Though based on a few threads I browsed through on Rimfirecentral, I'm not the only one that can't release the slide catch one handed. However, the Mark IV is supposed to be easy to "sling shot" the slide, hence that Tandemkross Halo attachment. I guess that's something I'll have to get used to, but I'd prefer to be able to be able to release the slide with one finger like my 1911.

That gun was stolen almost 40 years ago, I don't remember much about it.
