Not aftermarket but decladded Chevy wheels are surprisingly nice

What did they do to this wheel to make it look like that, and is it going to lose strength with the modifications?
I think these might be stock wheels...

Obviously these are subjective things, but I'm really liking some of the Method wheels that get away from the played out machined/black look. They're still a bit "overstyled" to me with the fake beadlocks on most of them, but atleast they have more of a motorsports style to them:
Locals get to keep 25% of the fine money for tattling on idling trucks & Buses.
The fine for violating New York City idling laws can range anywhere from $300 to $2000
According to the official website of the city of New York, “You can report an idling vehicle, other than an authorized emergency vehicle, that is parked with its engine running for more than three minutes, or parked next to a school with its engine running more than one minute.”

it's basically just a fancy, glued on hubcap that they put on the wheel, so it doesn't provide any strength and nothing is lost by removing it
you can see it here from the back side
and here it is with it freshly removed, there's a good amount of glue that needs to be cleaned off after removing the cladding
