The clue is that it is clearly a Flathead Ford rod.  They didn't have separate bolts, that is actually part of the casting!

I may be dating myself a bit but...

Digital photography is great because you can take a bunch of pictures and not have to worry about having bad ones any longer- so you can get some good ones now and again, and you can just delete the 10 crappy pictures you took of a thing and move on.
