It's a Ford Taurus SHO, I kid you not.

For some reason, in the 80's, the big three all thought we'd be driving GTP cars by now.

Oldsmobile

Dodge

A mid-engine Corvette. (yeah, like THAT will ever happen!)

Buick

Pontiac

I for one am a little mad that this trend never happened.

How does one ensure oil supply to the turbo? These things use oil slingers, right?

I'd be more curious how the builder plans to spool that turbo with a 120cc engine that cant rev past 4000rpm.. Needs nitrous I think.

You guys need a train thread. Don't get me wrong: I don't mind seeing the trains! It's just that you guys post these interesting stories and historical bits about the trains and they're just getting lost in this huge, rambling thread. I'd love it if I could go back and find some of the fact and pictures you guys posted in the past.

Hmm, looks like I might have to make a new thread and see if it gains any traction. In the meantime, here's a winter photo from nearby Syracuse, NY. The New York Central main line ran right down Washington Street in Syracuse until 1936, although I would put this in the early '30s. Does a nice job of capturing how unpleasant Syracuse winters are

It doesn't seem to have two meters of snow from a lake effect storm, though.

Aussies got all the cool Rancheros & El Caminoes from 1938 to present; Henry Ford wrote them off as "Kangaroo Chasers".
