I can't imagine any5slower than 4.5 volkswahons running on one engine. If those had check engine lights you wouldn't have to turn on the headlights.

Wish the author had the first clue of what a combine was, let alone how they work. Otherwise amusing.

Combine drag racing: It's a thing.

That series of photos is actually kind of depressing. It could have been a nice restoration but instead got turned into a 2010s image of what a 1970s teenager would have done to a $500 used car.

So is demo derby, that's not the point. You can do a killer stoppie in a combine with the header on, but there's no way a front wheel drive, rear steer, harvester is going to have "twelve o'clocked hard on a wheelie."

There's some sort of wingback Venn diagram joke here I can't quite be fussed to sort out...

I take a lot of heat for bastardizing cars, doing unnatural things to them; my thinking is the guy (like me) paid for it, worked at it and can do whatever he wants with it.
Clearly I'm not a purist but understand their point of view.

I'd say a car has to be pretty good in stock form for "restoration" to be better than "modified" in general. I don't think the Satellite qualifies. And while I'd've probably modified differently, I don't hate it, and it doesn't seem unlikely that it's immensely satisfying for someone who might've done that to a $500 used car as a teenager in the '70s but didn't have the $500. Though I do think there's not much I'd do now exactly like I would've done if I'd had a car and disposable income as a teenager in the '80s.

What are you seeing? I see a polished car with mag wheels added. Looking on a small phone, but...
