Color, and lack of hard top, help a lot. I kind of like them in an unusual way.

I agree, one thing the British did NOT have a handle on was how to make an attractive hard top for the ubiquitous LBC.
The Daimlers are without a doubt funky but they fall just on the far side of the line for my tastes. The fundamental shape is interesting but I think there's just that bit too much going on.
I need the little hemi v8s they put in them. They sound amazing and I'd put it in something much better looking like a spitfire or something
