Raleigh Super Speedway, the second ever NASCAR super speedway and the first one to feature lights to run night races.Z
I may have to take the metal detector over that way.

So there are a couple, maybe three, old tracks that I love. Two I've never been to, but wish I had. The third I don't have an aerial pic of, but at least a layout:
"The Bridge." Bridgehampton, Long Island, NY. Now a golf course
Riverside Raceway, SoCal. Right alongside CA Hwy. 60. Now a shopping mall.
Not an actual aerial photo, but the track where I saw my first sports car races at back in the mid-sixties (George Weaver's Thompson Raceway):

My grandparents sold concessions at that track while my dad “slept” in a cradle behind the counter. My grandmother told me the cars would rattle the roof panels of the shack they worked in.

Story?
Obligatory pic. The 90's weren't kind to the Pantera. Comparison 1971 to 1991/92
I'm not a fan of the F40 style wing, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers....
But neither one of those was the high point...
I just went massive-overkill on ordering a power distribution setup for my truck.
Eaton SSVEC panel with 8 fused relay circuits. Weather tight connectors and all. Do I need this level of upfitting in my daily driver pickup? of course not, LOL. I have a ham radio that may or may not get run through this. I want to add some rear area lights for loading up the mountain bike on night rides, and I might add some front floods for late night dirt roads...
But man this thing is cool!

If those are the 4 prong relays like Honda uses, you will want spares.

No real story but I found Grandma's reply to my email when I sent her these pics in 2013. These are in the Earnhardt shop lobby on Highway 3 south out of Mooresville, NC.
"Oh what a long time ago. We worked for Roy Pinyon in concessions at Friday night races and also at the fair in Oct. It was fun but we could not watch much. The noise level was deafening and the wrecks exciting!"

Someone should send this thing to Ford, it would fix about 400,000 F350 trucks.
