I think the mind set for a lot of these dishes came out of the Great Depression.
Here's a palate cleanse, of sorts. FTD on Sunday.
Jeez, wheel-man Joel. Your pics are the exact opposite of Shadeux's pics. Yours make me cringe. But that really doesn't matter on this thread. All pictures matter.
Pic unrelated:
Cringeworthy?

Ran when parked.
Some small leaks around the windows

Thats 4 2x3s and a 1/4 sheet. And three car seats, and room for more. Mazda 5. Get one.
So, I don't like being the safety guy and everyone has their own comfort level but this picture reminds me of an accident that I responded to as a tow truck driver where a conversion van was rear ended and lumber loaded like that was pushed sideways on the back end and pivoted around one of the rear seats decapitating the driver. Well, not completely decapitating but enough that it was obvious that he was beyond medical help.
Completely unrelated pic because there's no way I'm posting a related one.

It's a tough one. If you do that every day, aieeee! Three times a year? Er, calculated risk? I honestly don't know. I think safety risk is just about as hard to do logically as anything; the odds, the stakes, and the je ne sais quoi of "this feels like it could turn into a horrible way to go."
Indy "Nub" Guy said:Yes, those appear to be C4 wheels, but I can't answer your fitment question. I shamelessly stole the image from this thread. Robbie posted the pic. He has a Jaaaag of this vintage, so perhaps he can chime in with an answer.
This looks amazing too:
So I sat down to watch the latest Retropower shop walk-through, and they happened to mention that their project Kaiser W111 was on Jag subframes, and that as a result the oversized versions of classic Mercedes wheels they were having made needed to be made to Jaguar bolt circle, and noted that this was also Chevy bolt circle. What a coincidence.

That load is a lot less dangerous than being a tow truck driver. We had a local driver get knocked off a bridge a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately the bridge was 155' high.
Be safe out there.

Accidents happen. I know you weren't trying to be preachy, no worries. Thanks for your concern. Still, I think having a 2x4 turn into a projectile from a pickup bed would be a way riskier endeavor, and probably way more likely. I was more worried the kids would get slivers.
