SHEESH! Planned styling obsolescence is one thing, but they went above and beyond! Was it because the car market was so highly competitive back then?
A couple of things- From 59 to 64, other than the tin, the cars were all the same. Second, why would you buy a new car when your old one looks the same? Third, Chevrolet built three cars and a truck at that time, and everyone bought them, so what the heck else are they going to do with their huge, steaming piles of cash, other than build cool stuff that looks new every year?
Also, there is a massive development between the 58 and the 65. 58 was 50's tech, the 65 chassis was used until 1971. Maybe. 1970?

Obvious Photoshop - not the burning house but the firefighters as the probability of zero mustaches among eleven firefighters is vanishingly, vanishingly low.

Don't mind me. Just checking out the altitude.

IIRC there were four different CHASSIS in that timeframe.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Three, I'm pretty sure. I could be wrong, but 59 to 64 had the same X frame, didn't they?
The markings would give it away. The -7 was only used by France.

DC 3 would be a close second in my personal favorite plane list. This one is a D Day veteran that sat abandoned for years at an airport outside Montreal. Search Plane Savers on the tube of you, whole series on the restoration process. Time suck warning!
I may / may not have had an influence on a particular sticker that’s on this plane. I suggested “ask me about the hamburger door” to the owner, it’s on there. I bet a couple of y’all on here know about the hamburger door....
Don’t forget that, at least by 1962, you could get an Impala in 6 different variants - convertible, 2-door post-coupe, 2-door hardtop, 4 door post, 4 door hardtop. And wagon.
At at least I think that was the case.
New Tesla Factory in the worx.
Hard to see in the pic but it's funny seeing 50+ Diesel HD equipment making a "no emissions " electric vehicle..

Liquid cooled, or output so low that air cooling worked without fins?
I'm assuming liquid cooled because it's not a radial.
Dunno, will look around. Meanwhile, how about a 1909 16.9 liter inline 4? (that's 1031 cubic inches folks)
Never heard this before. Two identical cars except one is under minimum weight, allows you better qualifying times, but not legal to race. Each car in the photos below wears the opposite number than it did in the actual race. The car with the vent window (wind wing) in the door is the '67 lightweight car from the previous season.
It was under minimum weight and did not get run through tech inspection. They ran the '68 through tech inspection twice by changing the car number in a closed airplane hangar between each inspection.

Oh man, those camaros are legendary!
Supposedly the acid dipped one was so thinned out that the roof would buckle if you so much as rested your hand on it.

Could be a rolling shutter issue. It can make rotating things look very weird. What sort of camera took it?
