My obsessive tendencies led me further down the early Dakar rabbit hole. In which I learned that:

Meh. They're good, but not my favorite. I'm not going to judge anybody harshly for loving them, either.

I'm in the minority- l like a less sweet fried round thing, like unglazed apple fritters. Actual Apfelküchlen are the best, though.

I thought we had a "My most expensive screw up at work" thread, but I couldn't find it, so I'll leave this here.  IT WASN'T ME, it was some so-far-unnamed MN National Guardsman, but it is impressive . . .
