Apparently it was spared bombing during the war, so there is a lot of older architecture there, too.
There's a car dealer in Chicago that has the drive away area from their car wash heated from under the brick pavers. Otherwise when the cars pull out of the wash tunnel they would drip and each drop would freeze as soon as it would hit the bricks.
