DKW cars were marketed in the USA when that car was new. Photo unrelated.
Bill, the unrelated photo ... is that a Sunbeam Rapier or Hillman Minx? I love both. Somehow, I think you probably know. I had a '61 Alpine, my first car bought in the summer of '66, so I lean towards a Rapier. And, my friend, which track was this photo taken at? And the people? Who are they? This is such an intriguing pic. Enlighten us please!
Obviously, pics unrelated. Well, maybe somewhat related (Geez, that guy is tall. And his car looks like like a Ferrari, not a Cunningham. But I know why that is. Vignale).
In reply to Gary :
Sunbeam Rapier at Lime Rock "Little Le Mans" 1958 Photo by my father who was crew chief for the car run by Bekrag (55 Chevy panel delivery in background) with support from Rootes Motors USA. Car shed LF wheel coming down hill, never found. Entire upright, spindle, hub, brake assembly borrowed from spectator to finish race. Driver had to install on side of track! Try that today....No idea of people identity.
Another unrelated pic, location obvious.

Now I see: Paddock B at Lime Rock. That is spectacular. Thank you! You have some spectacular authentic vintage pics!
In reply to Gary :
Not paddock B, that was still wooded then. This is the actual working pit lane, not yet paved. Tiny building in background is site of current consession stand.
Aerodynamic HRG, Linden NJ 1949 Didn't cool well.
The same car in 2011, after some clumsy body repair.
View of the course from grid as I was waiting for my last run. To trophy, I needed to improve by 0.15 seconds before this started.
Check out the weather the next morning.

I won this one! Went from 28th on grid to 14th OA 1st CSR without passing even one running car...

That's about what it would take for me to win E Street locally. There are some really good drivers here in Central Florida. I'm working my way up, from slowest of the slow guys to fastest of the slow guys to slowest of the fast guys. I've had a couple of second place finishes, but a lot depends on who shows up.
I may end up buying this.

That’s cool! Canadian registration though? Can you get it across the border now?

Depends on thermals and were you take off from!
Looks like someone finally got fed up with Pooh Bear's BS.
11GTSC: Yeah, my wife grew up in Rouses' Point, I know some dirt roads...

Work has been at a murderes pace the last weeks. The racing season (a weird one - because COVID) has come to an end and we are in silly season. I need something fun to pick me up a bit.
I'm strongly considering jumping into Folkrace for a few races. No intention of taking it seriously, but rather drifting and sliding around, having a blast.
I might pick up this Voopel on Sunday...

A B21B. Unusual to see outside of a boat.
On further inspection, the black valve cover suggests B230B.
