They are every bit as sketchy as you think. We finally got rid of ours a few years ago. Being a former Greyhound terminal they were likely as old as the ones in the original photo.

It's a Ghia 450SS. Mopar-based drivetrain, very limited production (52, I think).
They look even better in real life.
