Story is that their electronic wastegate failed and crammed 80psi of boost into an engine built for 50psi. Hell of an advertisement for whoever their head stud supplier is

I saw a picture of the same effect on a stock MZR, when they were new, after someone tried turbocharging it.
I was rummaging through a tote in the basement this morning and found some shoes from about 55 years ago....
