Who? I would say Sir Mix a Lot because of his history of 80's tuner car ownership-but he probably already has a collection.
I couldn't tell you, he is vintagebenzcollector on Instagram I think. I had the chance to buy the Panam coupe which is one of three built, but I can't justify that kind of money

Took me a minute, that's pretty good.
I'm still not getting it.
Simple physics, red-blue doppler shift as a body is moving towards or away from the observation point.

The car appearing shorter coming and longer going really sells it.

I have to admit that I pondered this way too long for a guy who has an engineering degree. I blame the years of management work.
Good one.
Service tag from dealer today.
That's a keeper.
Yesterday, these bloomed for the first time this year:.
Hope that spring and then summer is just around the corner.

The first time I approached Mrs. RX Reven' naked I said "don't worry, just Doppler shift".

Oh look! A KC135!
Rarer than you might think. If that is to support the SR, its a Q model, the only one to pump the Blackbird's exclusive JP-7 fuel. Integral part of the SR-71 program. Without it, the SR is an expensive titanium lawn dart.

Interesting, I thought I recognized an old familiar face. If that’s Okinawa in the late 60’s that ship in the background may have become one of the training ships that took a young man to the Mediterranean on sea term, twice actually on two different sister ships (there were three).
Possibly USNS Barrett, Geiger or Upshur, they were combination troop transport ships that also had “passenger” accommodations for military families. They were built during the Korean War and saw service through the Vietnam era traveling between the west coast and Japan. They were designed by George Sharp who also designed the SS United States and the NS Savannah. Enough ship nerd for now.
Edit for a picture of USNS Barrett. I’m almost positive that’s one of them in the background now. I logged a lot of miles in the engine rooms of Barrett (USTS Empire State) and Upshur (USTS State of Maine). The MMA training ship (USTS Bay State IV / ex Geiger) suffered a fire in the engine room just before training cruise in 1982 that damaged her beyond repair. I had been on watch all weekend and had only been off watch a few hours when my roommate called with the news that the ship was on fire. Several of my classmates were trapped in the engine room for time and unfortunately one cadet was lost in the fire. I never want to see anything like that engine room after the fire ever again.

Judy Stropus, an unbelievable woman in motorsports. Donald Osborne did a great job honoring her last night at The Audrain. Great evening. Thanks Nick for the venue and Donald for your superb interviewing skill.
Here is an excerpt of the event
They electrified Project X. Ended up 60lbs lighter. Pulls the front wheels at the strip. Hotrods aren't dead, they are evolving.
