I kinda liked it until the hood was open. I'll never understand the appeal of diamond plate.

True, but that can be minimized with a can of flat black. Then add a vintage style Pro Stock hood scoop and rock on!

Tending towards political in this day and age. Also it's an easy, but misleading meme to make.
Yes today too much electricity (in this country) is made from non renewable polluting sources, despite that it still make sense in many ways. First, controlling the source of the pollution can be very important. Pumping nastiness into the atmosphere away from large population centers where it can then disperse (more safely) is far better than hundreds of thousands of tail pipes spewing out E36 M3 in stop go traffic. That's one of the reasons we started with emissions controls half a century ago and how we got away from the smog sitting on top of large population centers. Probably the only real victim was the loss of LA's spectacular smog fueled sunsets. Next, it should be easier to control the pollution at the source. Despite the fact people fight against it, it has to be better to spend tens or hundreds of millions on pollution control for one plant, than need millions of cars with thousands of dollars of pollution control each. Next, even if the electricity being produced today is polluting, it doesn't have to be tomorrow, and if the cars are already there to make use of future clean electricity so much the better. And let's not even get started on what we could do with the hundreds of billions of $$"s we currently use to subsidize the oil industry at the same time as crying 'Socialism' if we want to subsidize clean energy to even a fraction of what we already do for polluting energy.

Well... good thing you didn't mention things that could be political, explaining how his post could be political....

Here's a neat little chart:
lighten up. Not everything is political. I'd actually like to own a Tesla. Once they depreciate down into my affordability range (sub $3000).
I don't know. To me. A picture of a chart isn't super interesting picture wise to me. Maybe there is a thread somewhere where it is more appropriate to discuss renewable energy than the Hotlinked Pictures thread.
Putting things in the wrong places results in things like this:

This thread has cooled off in the last few years, so it's good to see it getting some action again. How about a picture of a picture?

There has to be a joke title to that pic, but I'm too stuck on the awesomeness of it to come up with one now.
