Classic cars are a "sunk cost" from an environmental point of view. No amount of pollution emitted out the tailpipe is going to even register compared to the environmental impact of building a new car. So yeah, even though a search shows no corroboration that Thunberg is into classic cars, it would fit her mission.
Ironically, an EV would not.
Obligatory pick of the Molvo saving the planet last weekend

I stumbled across the oldest Ford dealer in New York while traveling last weekend. Conroy Motor Corp in Java Center, NY, founded 1911

Actually, the vast majority of a car's pollution generated is during its use, not its construction, more so the older the car is. So, based on how much the old car pollutes vs how much the new car pollutes, there is likely a crossover point where it makes environmental sense to upgrade. I suspect most OBD2 cars won't hit that point in their normal service life, but anything with a carburetor would, when compared to something new.
EVs are harder to be sure about, since they can get power from different sources.

Yep, I was gonna say that. I think she's been pretty open and pro for EV swaps of older classics for that reason, but I totally might be mis-remembering.

The morning after Taco Tuesday at my house. You ought to see the exhaust fan in my bathroom.
Wind load? Never heard of it.
Cool bookstore we found this last weekend. It used to be a bank and the vault couldn't be easily removed. So they covered it in bourbon barrel staves. Looks a bit like a giant basket IMO.
Tiger Mom on the railroad track in Frankfort KY. She's tough to keep from trespassing.
2008 Legacy looks good on BR-Z wheels.
Lady lost her wedding ring somewhere in the kitchen, maybe in the bin of scraps they feed to the sheep. Sheep manure and compost is spread on the garden, summer's here, harvest carrots!
