13 minutes on site, I assume? So, plus transit time. Warehouse roof or some reason they couldn't use a boom?
Price for a mobile crane was within $10,000. Waiting list was till next spring.

Back in the 80s, Erickson used a Guppy to haul their helicopter around. They brought it to Kinston NC to put an AC unit on top of the hospital.

Those Helocopters must have few and far between. Makes no sense to fly a plane with a 'copter inside. Then assemble it to fly then disassembled it to fly it back.
And these are not....

I'm not a big lacrosse fan, but when the merch is available, I am 100% getting a logo hat and possibly a polo for reasons which may be obvious.

The fuel burn is about the same. The Guppy flys 3 times as fast and requires half the maintenance.
I wish I could find the pics I took inside the Guppy. They literally cut the top of the C-97 fuselage off starting just aft of the flight engineer's panel. It looked like a warehouse with one of those museum cockpit displays down at one end.
The original, they didn't even remove the fuselage, just built it right over the top. Only after they tied everything together did they cut it out. Simply bonkers. But it worked.
