Last pic: Cologne. Or Koln. Notice the first letter on both plates. Probably both cars originated at the local Ford works, 40 years apart. Our Viking River Cruise boat stopped under that bridge. A lot of WWII history there. The cathedral is spectacular, but I liked the koelsch bars best.

How about that!
I found more of the interview and that Steve guy was quite a jerk
In reply to P3PPY :
Yeah, McQueen was rather brusque and difficult by all accounts. He had a pretty awful upbringing, which I'm sure contributed. Also, by the time he was giving that interviews he had terminal mesothelioma, which probably makes you pretty irritable and not want to waste a lot of time. McQueen did have an unusual reputation for demanding free items in bulk from studios when agreeing to do a film, such as electric razors, jeans and other items, and no one could figure it out at first, until it was later discovered that he was donating them to a boys reformatory school where he'd spent a lot of time when he was younger.

I'm not sure that is actually real.
This is the line at the bottom of that interview excerpt...

Date of publication: April 1st.
They got me good
He was a lot less cool to me after watching Steve McQueen: The Man and Le Mans documentary. He just about bankrupted his own production company goofing off filming race cars with no script or plan so the final product everyone loves was really put together by another director.
Since Le Mans is this weekend, here's to the weird ones: Dome Zero

LOL Pete....it was rather well done. BMW 3-series rear end, Tremec trans, stock interior. It must be a hoot to drive.
