I am a Plankowner of the USS Silversides SSN-679, a nuke fast attack boat.

In the days of wooden ships, the original crew is given a certificate noting they are part of the sea trials and original crew. Years later when the ship is decommisioned you present your certificate and get to peel a plank off the old girl. Then you make a fireplace mantle out of it. Something to share in you golden years I guess.

Fireplace mantles made of HY-80 just aren't that fashionable.
