That begs 2 questions:
1) Why are so many that you see completely undriveable?
2) Why do so many have obvious kilo-manhours of labor put into making them look crappier than they would have naturally been?

Between that upper coolant line and the factory puller fan being used as a pusher, I predict high temperatures ahead. But full points for doing something different, and that looks like a "look, I got it in and it's running!" photo as opposed to a "it's now fully sorted" photo.

Buddy of mine has a early VW camper bus. It's ugly, unpainted in places, still has rust holes, but runs like a Swiss watch and he drives it all the time. To him, the running condition is WAY more important than how it looks.
That's what I meant. Some assume the Porsche was worked to look that way. I assumed the owner was more worried about how well it ran and drove than what it looked like.
I guess, in essence, what a true rat rod would be. A guy worried more about making it fast than how pretty it looks.

With those skinny legs and chubby cheeks she is most likely 16-20 years old and in perfectly fine health and form for her age. Just because the nation got fat doesn't mean those who aren't have a problem.
