USS Halsey, Guided Missile Deystroyer (DDG-97). Named after Admiral William F. "Bull" Halsey, Jr., the man who figured out how to drive the IJN out of the Eastern and Southern Pacific Ocean. As former commander of the USS Saratoga, and NAS Pensacola as well, perhaps he actually understood the possibilities of Naval Aviation when considering a chessboard the size of the Pacific Ocean.
