I found this guy hanging between my roof and patio. Originally I thought wolf spider but I dont think those spin webs. It does have that violin shape like a recluse but I don't think those are fuzzy. Any idea?

It sure does have the fiddle, but the Brown Recluse isn't usually that stout. I'm not sure they make webs either.

Time to burn down the house.

I see those around here a lot. Never been bitten, but I don't make a habit of handling them.

They do make some spectacular circular webs. And it's fun to watch them catch food!

Right, I was reading that recluses don't really make large webs out in the open and aren't fuzzy either.

Shotgun may be less damaging and faster.

Definitely not a Recluse, too fuzzy and big. Just another harmless creature that adds to the food chain.Unless you are a smaller critter.

It looks like some sort of a Wolf spider. I think some of them may spin webs. This may help:

Brown recluses are very small and delicate looking. They also hide, and are rarely seen in plain sight-- hence the name. Luckily, I don't think this is a recluse.

Eat it and absorb its powers.

I'm pretty sure it's an "Orb Weaving Spider."

I believe is it the Tropical Orb Weaver, most likely female. They are harmless and beneficial, two of the best qualities in a housemate.
