Nice video, too bad their boots suck.
I can't get more than 6 months out of a pair of Terra boots.
J.B. Goodhue or Redwings.
Shawn
very cute commercial.
I am three years in on a pair of timberlands that it seems like I wear 24/7 some weeks
I've had Merrells for a while. They last four years of everyday use, and even then they could go longer, I just replace them to have more tread
The links off of that page aren't bad either. There must be quite a few 'banned commercials' on youtube.
I took my dad's abandoned Red Wing Pecos from him a few years back and wear them at least a few times a week. They must be at least ten years old, but they're still in good shape.
I like my Caterpillar boots. comfortable, tough, wear good. I've had the same pair for 6 years now, worn almost daily
Caterpillar for site work.
Havana Joe's for office for me.
The Havana Joes last forever. I love mine so much that I actually had them resoled after I wore through them. Uppers are still good after years.
Redwings... I have a VERY narrow foot ... measures an "A" width usually buy Redwings ( Durham make some in my size) Redwing have always supported us weird footed folk.. they usually get my business
Georgia boots, heavy and you have to add your own padding, but they last a long time. The only thing that is killing them is cement work and motorcycling. Cement will kill leather faster than anything. Lasted 3 years and are now work only but still alive.

Yup! I've had better luck getting a good fit with Redwings AND being able to rebuild them when they need it. Although the Chinese made Redwings are a bit of a mystery...I got a good fit, and they're comfortable, but I really don't know yet if they can be rebuilt. I'm only a year into the current pair and they've just in the last few weeks started to show some tread wear.

Size 13 EEE here..
I'm rockin a pair of Dr Martens "For Life" 8 hole boots for daily use and keep my steel toe boots for the shop and work.
The "For Life" boots are worth every penny. They rebuild pretty much anything that is wear and tear (not industrial use) for your lifetime for free.

The Chinese made ones are not nearly as good. I have a pair that are about 12 months old, and they look just as bad as my 25 year old pair (older than me!) that I've been wearing nearly daily for the past 7 years.
I'm hoping there's an easy way to tell them from the native made... maybe it says on the box..????
my current pair is ~8 yrs old ... might need a new pair in the next few yrs
I'm on my second pair of Merrells in 4 years. I got the first pair when I was doing call center work, and walking on concrete killed the soles. After I quit that horrid place, I bought a pair of hiking boots from them. I have about 8 months on them and they still look brand new, save for a tiny bit of sole wear.
my main boots are Bates, so far they have held up to almost daily soakings of JP8 and the occasional hydrazine (bad enough stuff the usaf paid me extra to deal with it)
narrow feet are my big bug bear. My current pair of Tims are actually women's sized. You can't tell by looking at them, but the more narrow build is a BIG relief for me
I've thought of doing that but the length is the problem... I wear a mens 12 A/B
womens med would be ok just hard to find a 14 / 15 ... there is typically 2 - 4 #'s difference in mens and womens
Used to wear Keens but walked right through the sole and the tread was totally flat the bottom. I've been wearing Doc's since last November and will probably stick with them. I'm on my feet in Home Depot 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
New Docs suck. I had to send a pair back after around a year after the leather broke where the steal toe is, then the new pair cracked along the back seam and I said to hell wiith them. They are a trend boot, not for working in. Once the doctor lost his soul(literally) and sent operations to china the product is nothing more than a trend.
