And that's a wrap. Big this year: Frozen, Ninja Turtles, pirates, Captain America, princesses, cats, firefighters, Spiderman, Batman.

No Star Wars--none. Closest was an adult walking with a lightsaber. No Transformers this year, either. A few years ago every other kid was Bumble Bee.

Not many older kids, though. Usually around 8:30 the high school and middle school kids come out. Football game, I'm guessing?

Perfect weather for sitting outside, though. Our dogs will sleep well tonight.

I saw three kids together who went as bananas, one crayon and a really good vending machine costume. There were four Elsas and an Anna at the small party that we were at.

My kids went as "Eggs" from the Boxtrolls and Jack Skellington from the Nightmare before Christmas. Costumes made at home.

We don't get any kids out here in the country, so we don't buy candy for Halloween. We buy it the day AFTER when it is on sale and eat the hell out of it!

We handed out Kit Kats and a few other things to the kids we saw near the front rows at the F1 practice today. It was cool. The kids seemed to like it.

It was pretty fun not doing the corner working and running the worker trams and the worker food and water. Gave a little time to do stuff like that.

When it is cold like this we hand out candy to the kids and adult treats to the parents. I.e. we give out beer (with a sign that says adult treats). We offer ifpeople ask!

Out in the sticks we get no one. Last night I was leading groups around work for our Halloween parade. Every 3rd girl was Elsa.

I always buy what I'll eat. The kids can learn to like it.

But I hand out Wonka stuff (Nerds, Gobstoppers, Laffy Taffy, etc.) and Tootsie products (Tootsie Rolls, Dots, Tootsie Pops, etc).

My wife was mad we didn't get Chocolate, but after last year, I had so much left, it lasted through the summer and with no central air, everything melted.

We had 200+ kids at our door. Frozen Elsa was #1, Captain America #2, Witch #3, zombies #4 and TMNT #5. Last kid showed up at 9:30.

Most popular candy collected from the kids trick or treat bags. M&M's #1, Twizzlers #2, Kit Kats #3, asst lollipops #4 and Skittles #5.

What's sad is when I was a kid, I got TONS of candy running around door to door. With 3 kids now, they still didn't come close to what I got on my own back then.

We had quite a few trick or treaters--I was actually surprised because we figured they would skip our street and head 2 blocks north and hit the very ritzy neighborhood, along with the neighborhood to the east.

Luckily, we did have enough candy. Kit Kats, Hershey milk chocolate, and Reeses. SWMBO loves Reeses, so we only handed out 2 of those to the very last kids :)
