Golly, another flashback. I had that on CD. It sucked.
I was refraining from this trip down memory lane, if I had all that money I spent on car audio back. I was getting a new head unit about every 6 months. The final iteration of my "mobile jukebox" was an assortment of Phoenix Gold components on an Alpine V12 300W maybe, and a pair of Alpine 12" Type Rs on a 1000W Clarion, all stuffed in a Jeep Wrangler. There was just enough room for the two amps under the back seat, and yes that Clarion would thermal overload and shut down on occasion in such a tiny space.
Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill was a staple of my CD collection.
I had plenty of mixed/burned CDs too, I don't know anyone that actually "likes" Three 6 Mafia, but I could sure rattle the windows with most of their stuff.
Some of my regulars back then, and partly responsible for my hearing loss:
LL Cool J - Going Back to Cali
I could go on, I listen to some of that now and just shake my head, though I do have the Beastie Boy's entire anthology, and was pretty bummed when I found out MCA lost his battle with cancer.
