Glad you will be back, P. The average IQ of the state will double when you cross the border.
Angry, if you need a nice house in Novi, I'll sell mine this afternoon. Two car garage, room for a car trailer in the driveway. Seriously.

Novi's too crowded for us. My wife says we love Plymouth. ;-)
Srsly, we're renting in Canton for a year while we look for a short-sale or foreclosure that we can get stupid cheap and pump up with sweat equity. my dad's a TV repairman, and he's got an ultimate set of tools.

People still get them fixed? I thought most people just throw them away! He must be like the Maytag repairman. Another of the "lost crafts" you don't see anymore.

Gonna have to do this at the Challenge unless y'all are bringing the party to Charlotte. I'm leaving Thursday in less than 48 hours and am pretty busy between now and then.
I hate we never got to meet since you ere so close, but glad you are going to be a family man again. I did something similar to this in the early 80s. It was tough and of course there was no internet back then.

Yes, my employer hails out of Detroit too (I94 & Chalmers) BUT, travel the entire state and you will fall in love. SW Corner rocks! NW Dunes are awesome. The UP is another country. My son attends school in Holland. Good Luck to Angry. I kinda like Michigan.
I agree with you there.. my mom's side of the family hails from the UP. It is indeed a different and very pretty and wild country up there. Iron River if you are interested.
