What does the hive say? I have a ceiling fan that came with my house that over the past few months has began making more and more noise and getting to the point that I have to push it to get it going. Once the fan is at high speed everything seems fine. When I turn the fan off... it slows quickly then halts to a stop with some grinding noise. Pull down clean oil ? or just replace it? The brand is Harbor Breeze if that makes any difference.
