I disagree. If anything, it's a keen observation about civil rights in this country. Incredible that it's peachy keen for him to be able to get married without any restrictions. I think it's more of a commentary on America than on politics.
Not much different than how crazy it is that prescription drugs kill way more people than illegal drugs and yet marijuana is still illegal (mind you I don't smoke, nor have I).

I also think the statement was thought-provoking. I don't see civil rights as a "political ideology". It's pretty incredible that CHARLES MANSON has more ability to get married than a lot of normal, law-abiding, productive members of society.
The thread is about Charles Manson getting married, which is pretty outrageous to begin with.
