Just a minor dilemma. Found a nice squat rack and Olympic weight setup for my basement. Has pulleys for row and pull down. Would kill part of my car budget.l, but would start saving me over gym membership in a year. Arrrgh. So hard adulting.

So this was all mental masturbation.
Did my taxes.
Owe $3000. Thanks Obama. Will have to use work gym. It's not bad. Just crowded.
Equipment costs money and takes up space. Your maker gave you all you need to acquire great strength.

I do enjoy bodyweight exercises and do plenty also have a spin bike in the basement.
I just miss lifting. I've been an off and on lifter for 20 years. Life keeps getting in the way of consistency.

Hopefully you were "joking" but come on! Obama's not responsible for the Republican's tax bill that has resulted in an 8% average drop in 2018 tax returns.
It's not. It's a saying for anything bad that happens is to "thank" Obama.
I can't find my car keys! Thanks Obama!
In reply to Appleseed :
Oh, I'm familiar with the expression. it wasn't used in the context of lost keys, it was blaming Obama for a Republican tax cut that happened after he left office.
My first time ecountering it was a few months after Obama took office, when I met a man who blamed Obama for the loss of his job.
Asked him what kind of work he did. He sold newspaper ads. Now, there's a healthy industry with a bright future!

I'm taking the smiley at it's word, that it was used as a joke, extra-funny for exactly the situation you note. But I get jumpy about that, too.
I have several good friends who are rather conservative. I enjoy saying "Thanks Obama" to them whenever something approved by conservatives goes sideways.
Not trying to flounder the thread any worse than it already is, but: 1. Yes, I got a smaller return this year. 2. I had less taxes taken out of each check, so a smaller return only seems like a big deal because "I'm getting $XX more in my paycheck each week" doesn't have the same impact as "I'm getting $XXXX less in my return this year". AFAIK, I still paid less taxes last year.

Oh no! You're approaching this logically, and using facts! Now what's going to happen?
