Check out this article. They're saying he just about walks on water...and it sounds plausible.

First response and Doc already blew it up. Impressive.
Yes, the White House confirmed they've beefed up their kitchen staff by 50% in anticipation of the possibility....
Stupid tangent:
Is he too fat to be president?
No really. I know most of the US is pretty fat, but will they elect one?
(I believe he had the stomach bypass thing done though, right?)

I had such high hopes for this thread too

Wouldn't that be similar to not electing a president because of his skin color? Only in this country (well maybe not) do we have to worry about a person's weight preventing them from winning an election instead of their qualifications for the job.
In reply to bravenrace:
President Taft got stuck in a bathtub........so yes, Americans will vote for an obese man.
That said, I hope he doesn't run.......he's not any better than what we have now aside from being more amusing towards the press.
What? I'm serious. Hitlery would be better for the country than that Christie. Watch him get the nomination just so Hitlery will win the election. Just like the last 2 Republican nominees. At least with her as president, we can continue with the government not actually accomplishing anything, which keeps us all safer and freer than if they actually can get things done.

(Yes, I'm taking the troll bait)

Her policies would not include the systematic genocide of a particular group.
Instead of talking about who we (you) don't want, how about proposing some folks you would like to see in office.
In reply to mtn:
They very well might.......most likely Men.
In reply to PHeller:
Santorum seemed alright, and Gov. Pence probably wouldn't run a smear campaign though......the negative ads that went through outside groups were all yanked quickly. We only had Democratic attack ads for governor last year.
There are several others on both sides that I would consider as well.

There. See? Totally different.
In reply to yamaha:
I was going to stay out of this nonsense thread but I have to ask; what about Rick Santorum do you like, or was that an ironic & non-serious suggestion?

Not the response I was expecting... but I see your point... although I'm not entirely sure I agree with it. By that arguement it would be better to not try at all than to try and fail.

Um, HELLO! Remember the American middle class?
Taft wasn't president on TV.
I think Hitlery would make a good President. You can't have good people be President. Doesn't work, look at Jimmy Carter.
For all his flaws, Nixon was a hell of a President. He just got caught.
If it was a Christie vs Hillary in the final that would be a tough choice for me.

No that is the Republican's job. no unions, no jobs bills, no relief for the middle class. Now if you make more than $200K per year are a straight white Christian male, they got your back.
Everyone else, if you look at the actions, and not the rhetoric, the GOP has nothing to offer you.
I miss the old GOP where they wanted to take care of Americans and stop being the worlds police. Where did those guys go? Now we have the We the Corrupt, by the Corporations, for the Share holders.
Let's really jack the thread here.
Name one bill that the Republicans have put in place in the last 5 years that actually tried to solve a middle class problem. Just one.
Repeal Obamacare? Nope, they wrote the ACA and tried to get it pushed through under Gingrich in the 90s. So they are actually only going against something they know that will work for politics.
(I just wanted to get that out of the way. I knew it would be brought up)

Skin color is not a choice.
Being overweight is.
(Not that I care either way.)
I don't see a big difference between the two, but he would be a lot more entertaining. Ive been thinking about running myself but transit really doesn't like us to have a second job.

A fat president? This man says it's unpossible.

Generally speaking, I agree with you and tend to like gridlock so no new laws get written to further curtail my freedoms.
But, occasionally someone comes along who maybe, just maybe...
