I don't listen to the radio (my car stereo was stolen almost a year ago) but I read in my local alt-newspaper that 2...yes TWO local radio stations went to 24 / 7 Christmas music for their programming.

I think there are 3 or 4 around here between Boston and RI that go fulltime Christmas music.
Thankfully, I'm a Sirius subscriber, so I can avoid most of it.
the only station I listen to is the local NPR ... and then it's only the Sat/Sun bluegrass shows... and yeah even they tend to over do the Christmas music bit... but only for the last 2 Sat before Christmas
Yep.... I am already sick of hearing it in the local stores and I was only in one.... for 30 minutes. Wife is in heaven with this.
I listen to the local hard rock station when I can be bothered not to listen to a CD (I know, physical media. SOOOOOOO old school) and they've never played an Xmas song that I can recall.
I've been listening to Brian Setzer Christmas music at work.

My iPod's been busted for a while so I usually keep the radio on the local butt-rock station so I can avoid the Christmas music. Even then they still play some crappy Christmas parody songs, though they occasionally have a good one like The Kink's "Father Christmas."
Still beats working retail. Every time the PA would play "Christmas Catalogue" and "Do They Know It's Christmas?" back-to-back I wanted to go find a wreath and hang myself with it in the middle of the mall in protest.
I avoid radio at this time of year. I LOVE Christmas music, but it has to be the right versions of the right songs. And it isn't allowed before Thanksgiving.
a lady at work keeps her MP3 player on all day ... all year ... all Christmas music all the time ....
Heck, just hearing/seeing the hershey's kiss commercial annoys me. That's my christmas music exposure so far. So glad to have an mp3 player. And the DC metro area radio stations suck. Except 88.5 HD2- Bluegrass Country. The only reason I bought an HD radio.

Same should go for lights/decorations on your house. At least get through Thanksgiving first.
What is this radio you speak of? All that works in my car is a cassette adapter for my iPod, and my wife's has a 6 disk in dash.
At work in back it is only ever tuned to classic rock and collage radio.
News radio or CDs, I refuse to go shopping between Sept and Jan.
The inky thing Christmas thing I watch/listen to, is A Christmas Story. Goes on full time since no cable.
I have removed the radio antenna from my car. That's how useful it is to me. 96% of all radio programming is Clear Channel JUNK. So I just don't listen.
And yes, before the month of December is too early for Christmas music.
