Anybody got a national search engine for Craigslist? They just shut down another one that I have been using.

I know exactly which one your talking about too. I really liked that site. Why does CL have to be such a PITA?

Grrrr. That was a great site. In my little world I don't understand why you would go on the offensive on sites that enhance yours - seems like a mutual benefit. I don't really like using the actual craigslist site.

Craigslist helper here: http://ziink.com/

That's the one I use and I like it a lot. Sure there are four little text ads but they are so non-intrusive.

Search by distance, state, whatever. It sets up alerts for you too.

Nice app.

if you've got an android phone craigsnotifica is great... I use it for local stuff mostly... was awesome when I was actively looking for a car... getting to a good deal first is much easier when you get beeped about it when it comes in lol...

Amen to that. I have the same app. It let me score my ZQ8 before anyone else even called.

Because they're all about local. And they're Nazi about it.

I have stayed with Foxfire version 0.0.17 of Craigslist Helper which does not have the ads that some find annoying.

If you find the ads annoying, I would recommend installing Adblock Plus instead of using the older version. Adblock Plus will remove the ads - in nearly all sites.

The new version of Craigslist Helper (FF version awaiting review approval) provides a rich text editor for posting ads. Using the does add a link to the extension page though but you can switch to the plain text editor when you don't want the link to the extension.

You'll need to log in to post.
