No surprise at all here. This is pretty normal stuff. In our town, it's not the library that holds meetings like this, it's churches. Then you not only get politics going, you get religion going as well.
Old people have loud opinions. They also don't care what anyone else thinks. I kind of like that.

when i was a kid, i remember going to the local drugstore in the morning with my grandpa when i was a kid and watching as they solved all of the world's problems over never ending cups of coffee.. i saw a few pretty heated discussions, but it never got physical and it never left the drugstore.
I'm within a mile of that library and I missed it all!!! If it resumes after the elections I'll take my camera over and get highlight photos! AHAHAHA At least those folks left their homes. Most of them move here for the weather, but never go outside???
