Hole in the water that is.

What the best product for getting the scuzz and deposits off the hull of a fiberglass boat? Only one season of crud, so it's not too bad, its a freshwater vessel. Boat supply store has several things, all of course claim to be the best.

I used to work for a yacht maintenance company. The best thing that you can do when you pull out a boat at the end of the season is to power wash it immediately before it dries. Once it dries, everything is exponentially more difficult. For cleaning stained fiberglass, Fantastik works really well, but you'll learn to hate the smell.

still in the water? when you pull it out, take a pressure washer to it. As long as the stuff has not dried out, it will come right off. Once it dries, it turns to concrete

Also, when power washing, use something mildly abrasive like a green Scothcbright pad.

303 Products work well. I'd give them a try:

Just thinking outside the box, cause anything with a marine applicatin cost a ton of $$$.

My first thought was a power washer and bleach solution. Course, ya gots to worry about where the overspray goes.

We use simple green. Mostly because its cheap, environmentally friendly to the water around the boat and it works.

I've had good luck using handsoap.

Something like GoJo with pumice applied by hand with just enough pressure to remove the grime does a decent job.

Believe it or not but Total Works toilet bowl cleaner works great. Just make sure to put wax back on the hull.

Clean it and then put anti-fouling paint on it before you put it back in.

Like others have said power washer while its still wet.

You're not the first to mention this, I'm think that's what I'm going to try first.

This stuff is the best hull cleaner I have ever used. Wipe it on, hose it off.
