Usually that means your machine is working to render some part of a web page and is struggling to keep up. Do you know which sites trigger the message most often, and how many browser tabs you have open when you get that message?
There are a couple of things that you can do. First, try to run fewer browser tabs simultaneously if you can. Also, get AdBlock Plus from the Google web store and disable only for sites that don't run stupid video ads (like this one).
You might also want to explore a memory upgrade for your machine - in most cases installing more memory is just a matter of finding the right part, and is plug and play.

Mostly appears when on CNN, but shows up on here as well. Normally very few tabs open. Computer needs a good enema, a bit dirty inside.
Oof. On here too? This site isn't usually that bad. Grab a copy of MalwareBytes and run a scan (start it before you go to bed and let it run overnight) to make sure nothing nasty has made its way into your machine. Also do a disk Defrag if you haven't done that in a while. If those things don't help, then it's probably time for that memory upgrade.
Just as likely to be a problem with the website as with your computer, if it actually says abc.com you can be sure it isn't malware. CNN's website is a bloated beast. Also the page you're viewing when you see the error isn't necessarily the page generating the error - it can come from any open tab.
A faster and more powerful computer can "power through" these slow scripts more easily though. My phone's browser throws these errors fairly regularly because (hardware-wise) it's a relic.
Gameboy, I agree that CNN has a terribly bloated website, but he said it happens here too. I have a desktop of that similar vintage here at the house and while it is slow, GRM doesn't cause the waiting for script to pop up.
