I just installed a new computer monitor next to my PC's original monitor. The new one is not displaying all colors properly: I have a very light green logo that, when displayed on the old monitor, appears properly, but when moved to the new monitor, it completely disappears.

The driver is current and the hardware "is working properly," according to Windows (XP). Color quality is set to "highest." I have messed with the color and contrast settings on the new monitor, to no avail.

It does not matter which app I am using: I get the same display issue when the logo is in Photoshop or Word.

Any ideas?

Thx...

Adjust the color balance of your new monitor. You may be able to adjust the color via the graphics card or theough the monitor setup. Or the new monitor is junk. Or your old monitor was so out of balance that a very light green looked bright.

...or like me you knocked the cable loose.

Check if the new monitor needs a colour profile. The one I'm currently using on the PC here definitely does (wide-gamut LED backlight monitor) otherwise the colours are way off.

Thanks for the suggestions. I adjusted the settings in the graphics card, and all is right with the world. (Well, at least, all is (reaseonably) equal from one monitor to the next.)
