Based upon the rapidity of some of the responses to my CL adds there must be some sort of widgets that let you tell it what you are looking for and it will keep you posted. Anyone know of any good ones?

I think people are branching out to classifieds services now due to the economy, so I imagine there are more people looking at CL. I'd really like to know what other people say about a widget though.
One thing I do is do a search with crazedlist.org, save it, and check it every time I check my email.
Cool user pic btw. :)
RSS feeds. Outlook 2006 has them built in but you can find lots of free RSS readers on the web. Subscribe to the feed and everytime something comes up matching your description, it'll appear.
I have it setup at work and would guess that I get more emails from CL (and Ebay) that work emails some days!!

What does an rss feed do?
Crazedlist seems to give me somethings. Is there a way to do a wildcard search or multiple search on CL? It seems I need to search all possible variations of any way an owner could screw up and input something.
I'm looking for multiple models of Subies and it looks as if I need to do a separate search of every possible model name of every subie made. Such as one for WRX, one for STi, one for Imprezza, etx.
RSS feeds are kinda like email subscriptions. You create a search and then at the bottom, you'll see the RSS logo. Click on the logo and you'll be redirected to a page. Take that URL and use it in your RSS program.
Every RSS program is different, but basically tell it you want to create a new RSS feed and it'll ask for the URL. Paste the URL in and save it. (You will have options on how often to check, where to save them etc).
I haven't figured out how to do wildcard searches on CL yet.
However, with feeds, you can create as many as you want and have them all dump to the same location. I do that looking for things all the time. Basically, you create the search once and it will update from there.

Good browsers (not IE6) have RSS feed readers built-in, too.
Here's some more info on what they are and how you can use them: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/help/rss/
Speaking of good browsers, Tim (or anybody else) do you have any opinions of Google Chrome 2.0? I downloaded and started using it a couple of days ago. Faster than Firefox and seems like all the same features built in, plus a little better interface. But I here mixed reviews about the security.
BTW, Incognito mode is kinda cool.......
I haven't used 2.0, only 1.0, but even Chrome 1.0 really is a pretty impressive browser. It's built on Webkit, (same as Safari), which I think may be the best browser engine out there.
I've only heard good things about 2.0. I know Google is about to release a system for extensions, too, which is something Firefox has had a bit of a monopoly on until now.
I wouldn't worry about the security. I haven't heard anything bad. There's no reason it should be bad, really, and no way it could be as bad as Internet Explorer (the older versions, in particular).
Safari was the first--as far as I know--with a "private browsing" mode, but now it's in Chrome and the latest Firefox versions, too.
You'll need to log in to post.
