An entire thread about Cordobas, and not one post of the world's greatest Cordoba enthusiast? Shame:

Now you got me thinking of a WKRP themed car for Lemons.

It's uncanny how good that guy's fashion sense was!

Man I loved that show. And a great theme for Lemons -- especially if you can get a Jennifer and Bailey duo -- Or shoot turkeys out of the rear.

I tried to find the video clip when Herb get's a huge commision, and he exclaims:

"We're talkin' Cordoba"

but no luck.

You know Venus Flytrap would have a sweet Cordoba. I know the "diamond in the back" is generally reserved for Caddies, but Venus' Cordoba would have a diamond in the back.

Jennifer seems like a cliche choice, but DAMN. I'll take her over the girl next door in this instance.

my only interaction with a cordoba was the guy who lived next door to us when I was growing up. Thankfully (for his license) that wrecking three of them in one car accidents while drunk in the 70s generally only got you 24 hours in the drunk tank and rate hike on your insurance.

One he actually managed to put into the back bays when he missed the turn for the bridge

I have that book, and it's a good one. Glad to know someone here was involved with it! I hope you appreciate the fact that my copy is a little worn, has some greasy fingerprints here and there, and sits next to my factory service manual.

Rob_Mopar wrote: Now with that out of the way, the other option is to wire up a 4-pin HEI module to the Mopar distributor.

I did the HEI swap on my Valiant years ago, using the diagrams at this site:
GM HEI into a Mopar Easy swap. I was planning to do the Mopar swap, but found the GM parts (from a Corvette and a Cadillac, no less!) first.

There's are several threads over at Slantsix.org on HEI swaps. I use the inner fender as my heat sink for my 4-pin module and a plain Accel electronic ignition coil. No ignition problems in several years of Texas summers and some pretty good roadtrips.

Oh, and I'm with you on the "Mirada" rims ...

Giant styrofoam carp on the roof. Easy.

Went and saw it, ended up passing. It was worth the asking price but just more work than I wanted to get into. Minor rust in the rear fender and the clearcoat was peeling. I didnt want to get into bodywork on this project, I was hoping it would be good enough to buff out.

Interior was beautiful on it.

Located right down the street from Andy if anyone is interested.

The fake convertible roof will keep me away, but I'll pass the word around. I did spot a '77 Volare wagon yesterday near a buddy's shop. He's getting me the details...

yeah, the fake 'vert roof had a previous repair job on it. Passable but not perfect.

Oh and it looked as though it may have already had the ignition converted. There was what appeared to be the control box on the firewall things were dirty and buried so I couldn't quite tell if it was running to the dizzy or not but it appeared to be.

Cool, I'm glad. Mine is a little dog eared too. I'll have to point Frank at this thread.

I did the HEI swap on a buddy's Dippy last year. The Lean Burn died and somebody else put the Mopar ignition module on there. He was having some trouble so I put a quick HEI harness together and popped a module on there to see if it fixed the problem. That was more than a year ago and he's still running. That reminds me, he still owes me a coil.

I need to get some pictures of my wife's Challenger with the Mirada wheels and post them in my GRM garage.
