Mike, the rules changed about 3 years ago (maybe less) to something like 16+ is fair game, under 16 and you have to be within 5 years (or 18 or under, I forget). With the minimum being 14... not that I've read up on it or anything

I have a son that's 34.
I did raise 2 daughters, now 28 & 24. I could scare the older ones boyfriends by just looking at them. Her husband is still scared of me and my 5-foot even wife. Now the younger one's boyfriends are a different story. Especially when they walk through my garage or see me at an autocross. They are car guys and think I'm cool. Not sure that is good though.
I used to point to my gun case, especially the shotgun then the customized Remington 788 in 308 caliber and tell them this will reach out and touch and I have rounds literally loaded for bear. (I lived in Alaska for a while). Then point out that I'm retired Army and I might be suffering from PTSD.
