You would have to source the wood chips, but you can cover it in wood chips.  I am told that is what farmers around my area do, and we did that with a deer carcass that a poacher left on our property.

My cow farmer friend puts carcasses on his sinkhole, 2-3 days and it's gone.

My local farmers bury their animals in horse poop. I've seen full grown cows disappear inside of 3 weeks, but that's just replacing one unpleasant smell with another here.

There are legitimate services that cart away dead horses. You may Google that and see how wide their offerings menu is.

Horse poop and cow poop are both much easier on the olfactory than rotting animal. I think I'd prefer that to armadillo, too.

MythBusters did a show trying to dispel/confirm the Breaking Bad episode where they dispose of a dead body.  They ended up using sulfuric acid and something they don't identify but most think it was hydrogen peroxide.   It did get rid of a pig.  Yeah, pretty toxic stuff but you did ask.  They did it in a fiberglass bathtub that held up surprisingly well.

Not satisfied with the very small scale experiment, they built a bathroom in the middle of a desert and put a pig carcass (minus the head) into a cast-iron tub. On "Breaking Bad," Pinkman used two gallons of the HF, but "MythBusters" used something even stronger: 6 gallons total of sulfuric acid and what they called "special sauce." (As the show noted, they're not in the business of teaching criminals how to dispose of bodies.)

If you're in a farming area, I'd think there must be a rendering company near by that could pick it up and process it.

piranha solution- it was hydrogen peroxide. vulgar stuff. Will absolutely demolish any carbon based matter in seconds. INCREDIBLY volatile.

Half of the fuel for this little bastard was pure Hydrogen Peroxide.

The ME-163 had a nasty habit of rupturing the fuel tanks and melting the pilot.

Was it the peroxide or the other stuff (well, stoff) that would liquefy flesh on contact?

All I remember is that it used hydrazine as one of the components.  Hydrazine was part of the fuel that was kept separate from another fuel for safety reasons.  Having hydrazine was considered a lesser of two evils...  I cannot really put into proper words how ludicrous this sounds.

German chemists are crazy.

With my Caddy getting back on the road, maybe I should start taking notes from this thread? (joking).

Stepping back from rocket fuel for a minute has the OP solved this?

Not entirely.  Busy all week/weekend with the county fair.  May go over and poke a few 00 holes in it to speed.  Might be able to source some wood chips locally.

Ok. Now it's been 5 days,  and unfortunately I think Plan A of "Call the local rendering plant and have them pick it up" isn't going to work anymore.

I can't be the only one who looked at the list of latest forum topics and went, "Oooh... update on the rotting cow carcass!" and clicked on this one first, right?

I'm fascinated.  Whats the smell like at Day 10?  Is it still on the upcurve of stink intensity, or is it waning?
