It's still spring. Cats are in heat all over and they go a little nuts in spring. Does this happen year round?

Yeah, one of ours talks smack to her toys when she's kicking their ass. It's pretty entertaining.

Im gonna need more on this story.

Basically he removed the rooster's vocal cords. This is the same guy that would shoot squirrels while siting ont he toilet because they were eating the seed from the bird feeder. He was quite a character.
The overwhelming majority of the time, when a cat starts making noise it's because the heat shield has fallen loose. A large worm type clamp can be used to bind the heat shield to the converter to eliminate the noise.
I will stick with my conure. She stays nice and quiet in her cage until the bedroom door opens. Then she makes a racket until you feed her an almond
We took over a deaf 18 YO cat when a friend moved. It was loud and didn't know how to be with our other cat. We showed it a youtube of cats playing (yes, there are cat videos out there) and it learned how to play, and also got quieter.
So maybe double down with another cat.

We also had a spray bottle with vinegar / water to keep our previous cat off the counter. KBomb's dad came over with his new girlfriend in the summer, and picked up the bottle and sprayed her in the face for refreshment. She is gone.
Our cat is fixed. She has always been a noisy cat but she has ratcheted up the night time noisiness a good bit lately. My wife is talking about taking her to the vet though she’s been in within the last few months. She’s got a thyroid problem and is on a no-iodine diet which took care of the wasting away. (She’s fat again, even.) I put her outside tonight because I neeeeed some sleep and my wife is guilt tripping me about her maybe being sick etc. Lord at this point I’m so sick of the thing and the ten years of grief it’s given me. She is a sweet cat but just so so needy.
No way I’m doubling down with another cat. No more cats. If anything I’m getting a German Shepherd. My wife has picked the last two animals and neither was painless. I told her I didn’t want any more animals but man I love dogs a lot.
Why do we do this to ourselves?? ;)
