Sorry.. you lost me at "dog friendly restaraunts".
Don't get me wrong.. I love dogs, but taking them in to eat with you in a public place?
That's messed up.

I've always heard we, here in Wisconsin, have some of the lowest prices for alcohol related drinks.
We also have sturgeon spearing on Lake Winnebago, which, for people from the outside, is a trip. Driving trucks around on the ice and having ice shanties and spearing giant prehistoric man-sized fish all while a big party is going on.
Not to divert the thread to much, but it's kind sad that those fish are like 90-100 years old. It's also kinda scary that they are in Lake Winnebago all year long while I swim and ski and lake Winnebago is only ~20 feet deep..
orphancars wrote: Thanks for all of the inputs -- almost sounds like a split decision and could be happy in either location....... @CaptainSpaulding -- It might be in your backyard, maybe not -- know anything about Divide, CO? Just asking because I found a few places on realtor.com that looked promising......of course I have learned not to totally trust teh intarwebz when looking at housing -- but it looks like it might be a good start...... thanks again fellow addicts
I just googled Divide Colo and thats like 1 1/2 hours south of Denver and west of Colorado springs.
Never been there and that would be one heck of a drive into the denver metro area. Might not be to bad of a drive into the springs.

Mebbe you misunderstand...........
Dog friendly restaurant means that there is allowed seating on the patio area for you and your well-behaved dog. They aren't in the main restaurant area, they aren't licking the salad bar, and around here, the manager usually wants to meet you and your dog before you are seated.
I have a dog here that is smarter than the average 5 year old kid and better behaved. That reminds me -- last week the missus and I actually had our order wrapped and taken to-go at a local sandwich place because the woman in the middle of the restaurant had three kids with her -- and one was flat-out screaming and having a tantrum......now that's messed up!
Back on track, I hope.

Thanks Sir!
As other added data points I polled some folks in my weekend cycling group.....most of them responded "Denver!" when I asked them -- though I think that was more of a knee-jerk cyclists reaction
I really gotta schedule some vacation time to check both locations out.......thanks again all of you for the help!!!
Is that the new name for Milwaukeefest? I seem to recall Milwaukeefest happening sometime like around now...........
Just got done driving through Milwaukee. Man, the construction was bad.
My vote goes to Milwaukee though, I love the town. Usingers Sausage outlet is right there for the bratwurst lovers.

LOTS of cyclists here in MKE.
As a cycling nerd, I shall provide a link dump to prove it:
Two fantastic bike race series for both pros and amateurs, we just wrapped up the Tour of America's Dairyland, 11 days of racing, mostly crits with a few road raced--including one that was ON the track at Road America. http://tourofamericasdairyland.com/ In a couple weeks Superweek starts. http://www.internationalcycling.com/
Fantastic off road series, 12 mountain bike races throughout the state. www.WORS.org
Throw in the "Triple Crown" of mountain bike racing, Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, http://cheqfattire.com/ Ore to Shore, http://oretoshore.com/ and Iceman Cometh http://iceman.com/index.php all a weekend away from town round out the cycling scene.
Oh, and lots of cyclocross in the fall. http://madcross.org/
If you come visit Milwaukee bring a bike (or three) and be thirsty for beer.
And as for mtn's comment about construction, yes, it is brutal right now. Seems like they tore everything up without a plan to put it back together.
