So long story short, in the last 6-8 months the deodorants I usually rotate no longer are working. My armpits start to stink only after a couple hours of applying deodorant. I've tried a couple of these "clinical strength" types that are OK, but they dry out my armpits due to the fact they only really seem to make them for if you have really sweaty pits, which I do not.
So whats out there? I've gone to a few different stores and everybody seems to carry the same stuff.
I've had the best luck with Old Spice high endurance anti-perspirant / deodorant.

Arm and Hammer is the one that has been the strongest for me.
I have the same problem. I've tried sticks, rollons, gells, and now I'm using the spray stuff I used years ago. Arrid extra dry spray is doing the trick right now.

I use Right Guard Gel active or sport, and it lasts a couple of days on me, even with showers in between.
This is very relevant to my interests...or local weather, more specifically.
Which ones do you find are good or bad in terms of shirt staining?
When I was younger, I couldn't wear antiperspirant because I would have a reaction to it which would make me itch like no tomorrow. My pits would be on fire. I could only use deodorant which was not very effective. I tried Arid X-tra Dry and that seemed to work very well.
As a side note, when I was in basic training, we would spray our feet with it and it would prevent blisters from excessive sweating. It worked like a charm
Avon On Duty 24, various scents, work well and smell nice.
Even stands up to track days or wrenching
Mitchum is the only one I can buy at a department store that kinda works for me. Otherwise, it's prescription. That does work.
Shaving your pits makes them stink less.
speed stick has worked well for me for yrs…. well on second thought … my reliance on speed stick could have something to do with my lack of female companionship all these yrs
Sure Original Solid, unscented. It just works. All others are under arm glue.
Are you using deoderant or an anti perspirant? I get them mixed up in my morning routine sometimes to mine and those around me's dismay haha.
I use old spice deoderant when its cooler outside, then in spring when it starts warming up ill switch to a anti perspirant.
Any medical issues? It would seem your body chemistry has changed for some reason, and certain illnesses can cause changes in body odor.

Yah, sometimes the food you eat, or if you aren't drinking enough fluids and become dehydrated, can change the way you smell.
I like Ban :-)
Old Spice, fairly clean diet, lots of beer, I smell nice even after rugby or jiujitsu
I seem to perspire more with anti-persperant and less with deodorant... degree time release for men deodorant is what I use.
Diet can help a LOT.
I had a room mate once who was a real shlub. The kind of loser who only bathed when people told him he stunk, and that was often. The dude was gross. He got hooked up with a vegan anarcho chick who made him give up all animal products, processed foods and non organic anything. After a few months he confided in me that it was great because he only had to bathe once a month, if that and no one ever complained. He was right though. He was at over 4 weeks and I didn't feel like I was sitting next to livestock.
I find that I smell terrible when I am forced to eat fast food or have more than a tiny bit of dairy a day.
A brown friend of mine once told me that white people smell like sour milk.
I'm not sure if he was screwing with me or not.
Old spice for me. Has to be aerosol though, the stick type stuff gives me a rash.
Dove for men 'clean comfort' scent. It's a low scent dry stick that works great for me. Some other brands give me rash, but this one doesn't.
Dove for men deodorant, not antiperspirant, for me. Antiperspirant gives me a rash.
And yes, I've experienced that diet had an impact on body odor. Greasy foods and red meat increase the stink.
Very effective for me, but seriously staining for shirts.

And here I thought I was the only guy left using a spray (Arrid XX dry to be specific). The first time my fiancee and I were shopping together she said "I didn't even think they made this stuff anymore".
Anyone creeped out by the chemicals and stuff used in deodorant that we apply to a highly porous area of our bodies daily for a lifetime?
I wish the all-natural stuff was cheaper.
