I thought this was going to be more along the lines of what i saw at a house this weekend.....that is, a HUGE assortment of lighted sculptures and trees ALL flashing on and off so fast you A.) couldn't get a chance to really make out anything B.) risked brain damage trying to look at the ....display(?) C.) were sure the neighbors to this idiot MUST have told the folks that "twinkle lights" come with a control to adjust the speed.
My next door neighbor is into light, LOTS of it. When he's at work late the wife turns on all four porch lights, every light in the house and basement is on, she kicks on the 8" square hologen lighting up the yard; from my house it looks like the Mother Ship is touching down right next door.
Is that some needy psychology thing, or just like to be seen?
Oy. I'm moving to Florida so I can call Margie everyday and bitch about the rain.
I'm kidding......

You live in New York and it's freaking cold there now. Wait until the snow has melted (or until your tracks can't be traced), load a super-soaker with hot water and take care of those outdoor lights - water is cheaper than bulbs. Until you're caught and have to pay a fine and/or damages.
I share your frustration; night is supposed to be dark and stupidly blinding outdoor lights just p1ss me off.
(this) rant over....
i was going to out this weekend taking pics of light setups for something to do..that truck and ditto are funny
Its always fun to adjust those lighted metal framed moving rain deer so the kids ask you " what are they doing "

No. I grew up in St. Pete. My brother is yakking about a 55+ community he's interested in down there. I'm not. He keeps it up. Sorry, not interested. He won't let it go. His college aged daughter is there also. After 20 minutes of a frikkin sales pitch I said "Listen, I like my toys, I like working in the garage, I smoke a cigar once in a while, I like beer and I like looking at young girls. You can't do ANY of that in a 55+ Community."

"Listen, I like my toys, I like working in the garage, I smoke a cigar once in a while, I like beer and I like looking at young girls. You can't do ANY of that in a 55+ Community." 55 plus community = HOA. See other thread.
In the same note, is anyone else sick of blue? Not the old style blue bulbs, but the new LED type ones? The hard to focus on ones? I'm tired of blue! It seems to be every where. Maybe I'm just sick if staring at the blue face of my Sirius tuner all the time, even on the lowest setting it still lights up the car at night.

Is he talking about the Villages? It's like a college town in reverse!

Sounds like 914driver is referring to the St. Pete area, not real close to "The Villages".
I think I read (somewhere) there was an unusually high number of STDs coming out of that place. One can bet there are plenty of Christmas lights and the residents are enjoying a lot of holiday cheer behind closed doors.

Might I suggest 25,000 imported Italian twinkle lights?
