Anyone know how much a 'scope like that costs? Just curious how expensive this expensive hobby is in comparison to my expensive hobby.

I just started looking into Astronomy clubs/groups in the Atlanta area last night. I was thinking about joining one. I berkeleying love space, its so interesting to me.

The University of Michigan has an observatory between Dexter and Pinckney MI. Last saturday night the University Lowbrow Astronomers had an open house at the observatory. Some friends went and had a good time. Basically a bunch of people with nice telescopes gather and let others look through them. Apparently they get together regularly. I intend to attend soon. I have included the schedule.
