Over the years I've watched a fair variety of motorsports, but I'm convinced this is at least top three from a spectator standpoint. It's been around the states for at least 20 years, but originated in NZ. Only two tracks currently in use in USA, it seems it's just a hard thing to get off the ground from a business perspective. I do have a background in boats and boating so maybe I'm jaded, but if it looks interesting to you, maybe it's worth planning a vacation to check it out. Eric's boat is 13' ,naturally aspirated, ITB. Around 500 ci. Dyno'd at over 1000HP. For comparison, when I was in the biz, we'd put 15HP outboards on 13' fishing boats. That's a whole 'nother animal.

Man, I opened this thread with great excitement. Imagine my disappointment that it isn't what I thought it was.
Oh, come on, it wasn't that disappointing, was it?
Is your wife a...goer...eh? Know what I mean? Know what I mean? Nudge nudge. Nudge nudge. Know what I mean? Say no more...know what I mean?

Thank you, know that you're not alone.
Well, carbidetooth, this is something I would much rather watch Cleetus McFarland in than whatever SKJSS was thinking...
Pretty sure he has a few videos with a jetsprint boat.

Indeed he does have videos and brought some attention to the sport. He ran a boat Eric owned and then bought a Sprintec and Dew wrapped it like his mini boat. We'll be going to a couple of races this season and hope he comes back as he has quite a following. Unfortunately the track closest to us just couldn't make a go of it an has announced no events this season.
