Does anyone else feel bad after making a “big” car part purchase?

No? Just me? Ok.

Pulled the trigger on some "cheap" wheels for fitment. Just sucks they are on backorder. Oh well.  Better to make this mistake than the $700 plus a wheel upcoming...

No, because I can almost never get myself to make them.  Once I finally do, I usually tell myself I should have gone a little higher and gotten what I really wanted.

I always regret spending money on most things. I get over in time, but I'm getting cheaper and cheaper about stuff.

Depends on my perceived value of said part.  I felt more guilty about the $50 custom sized & stitched piece of leather to repair the center console in the MR2 than the $350 I spent on a full set of 15x8 Enkie 92's with good tires because... reasons?  I guess I feel like anything I can make myself should basically be free, but that's never really the case. Fantasy even.

Nope.  Once I make the decision, I'm all in.

However, if the bits don't live up to expectations,I dump it asap.

Expensive parts usually retain their value. 

I bought a $4000 set of wheels, which I used for the best part of 5 years and sold them for $3700. 

So, no I don't feel guilty if it makes me happy everytime I drive the car. 

I try to shop around and find good deals, normally used because I'm poor. I feel better knowing I can unload something and get most of my money back if I ever want to. 

Yup, it's why progress on the zephyr is so slow. I've been telling myself to order an intake and carb all winter but instead I've been slowly buying the stuff for a suspension rebuild
