For one--the blaxploitation-style intro is just awesome ("damn--ain't this a bitch")
The production of this song is what blows me away. They got it to sound like it's right out of 1968. The whole vibe is just so accurate--specifically in the horns and backing vocals.
Just good traditional soul music.
BTW--her cover if Janet Jackson's "What Have You Done For Me Lately?" is wonderful.
